Janelle is the Director of FORM Fitness and has been working as a Personal Trainer in the Fitness Industry for the past 20 years. She started her training to become a Personal Trainer in 2000 at the Colgan Institute in Canada after receiving a scholarship for her personal achievements in Powerlifting. This presented her with a unique opportunity to gain extensive knowledge from Michael Colgan, a world renowned research scientist in training and nutrition and coach of numerous Olympic Athletes.

In 2001 after sustaining a major back injury while studying in Canada Janelle went on to achieve a World Title in Powerlifting just months after injuring her back. After two years of pain staking rehabilitation she took up Olympic Weightlifting competing in various local competitions and the Oceania Championships coached by Richard Dryden.

As a result of her sporting career and injuries Janelle developed a special interest in muscle imbalance testing, back rehabilitation and sports conditioning and over the years she has assisted numerous clients in alleviating back pain. She also thrives on designing specific and periodised strength and conditioning programs for both recreational and world class athletes to help them excel in their sport.

Rob is a Senior Personal Trainer at FORM and brings a wealth of experience in working with people from a broad range of backgrounds and cultures. He and his wife Fiona made a lifestyle change in their 40’s to include exercise as a regular part of his life and have not looked back. Since getting involved in the Fitness Industry Rob has co-managed a gym and run his own Personal Training practice, he now works at FORM fitness as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Rob has considerable experience working with a broad range of ages and is very good at giving people variety in their programs. He will make your sessions not only challenging, but stimulating and enjoyable as well.

Rachel  is a Senior Personal Trainer at FORM, she started her studies in business and finished off a bachelor degree in 2013. During her studies she exercised consistently which helped her to reduce stress and keep a balanced lifestyle. Her own positive experience with training is what drove her to want to help others achieve the same life balance and gain strength and fitness.

So in 2016 she studied her certificate in Personal Training at the New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness and has been working as a personal trainer since. She comes to FORM from Plant Physique where she worked for 5 years as a personal trainer and also spent some time as Studio Manager. She is a quick thinker and is used to working with people of all ages and abilities. Rachel has run countless small group personal training sessions and loves the challenge of  working with a variety of people and rising to the occasion when they all come in with different niggles for a group training session.

Rachel enjoys engaging one on one with clients to help them achieve their ideal lifestyle, creating a balance between functional fitness and overall wellbeing. She loves to get outdoors and keeps herself strong and fit with hiking, running, surfing and climbing. Her own strength training has not only helped her better her performance in these activities but also helped reduce injury and increase recovery.

Rachel enjoys working with all types of clients as she believes the more diverse her client base is the more she can grow as a Personal Trainer and the better she can help each individual. She has been working a lot with Strength and Conditioning over the last couple of years, also including mobility training into their exercise regime to help her clients recover and regain strength after injury.

Petra hails from Czech where she graduated from Masaryk University with Master’s Degree in Health Education and Science. She migrated to New Zealand in 2016 where she completed her certification in Personal Training at the New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness. From 2017- 2021 she worked at the biggest Les Mills club in Auckland as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor teaching classes BODYPUMP and LMCORE.

Petra always enjoyed helping people and as Personal Trainer she is able to combine her passion for exercise with her teaching skills. She successfully assisted clients of all ages and physical levels to help improve their mobility, lose weight, increase strength and built muscle. She has a bubbly personality and enjoys motivating people so they exercise regularly, develop healthy habits and live healthy happy life while enjoying the process along the way.

Petra loves to go for walks while listening to interesting podcasts or spend time with her family. Her favorite meal is steak and butter. She is big fan of the sauna in winter and sunbathing in summer.
